The LG X cam and X screen have officially begun its global rollout, about a month after the two mid-range phones were first announced. The Marshmallow-running handsets will make its debut in South Korea before moving on to other markets such as Europe, Latin America and Asia.
LG unveiled its X series phones, LG X Cam and LG X Screen, last month ahead of the Mobile World Congress event but it's only this week that the new devices will be available in key markets. Now as promised during their announcement, LG will begin their global roll out starting this week. These models are aimed at mass to mid-range categories--offering premium specs with affordable prices.
Neither of these phones are fully-powered flagships like the LG G5 or the LG V10, but they each seem to have some marked resemblance to those devices. The X cam has a dual camera on the back much like the G5 (not to mention a front face that definitely resembles the new LG flagship), and the X screen sports the intriguing secondary screen we’re familiar with from the V10.
What's appealing about the X screen and X cam is that each offers one great feature in a complete package that doesn't break the bank," Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, said in a statement.
"Starting with the X series, we're introducing the best in camera and display technology in a mass-tier device, something that has never been done before," Cho added.
The LG X series includes the X cam and the X screen phones. Both devices offer great value for your money because they already have the highly-regarded Dual Cameras and Second Screen. Based on the name alone, the LG X Cam is more imaging-centric. It comes equipped with a 13 megapixel angle lens and a 5MP wide angle camera.
The Pop-out Picture feature is what makes the unit a great camera phone. As described, it combines two images taken by the two cameras to create a picture-in-a-frame effect. Other special features include the Signature (caption or byline), Panorama View (wide image), and Animated Photo (video plus photo).
