Reliance publishing it's new 4G smartphone to be launched under LYK brand

Reliance JIO had announced that it's plans to sell 4G LTE - capable smartphones in India under its own 'LYF' brand. Reliance Industries Friday said it has already pumped in close to Rs. 93,000 corer into its telecom venture under the 'Reliance JIO' brand and not it will start to selling its 4G handsets. The company is likely to launch it's LYF smartphones in the first week of February in at least 13 Cities.

Reliance JIO is said to offer company's own fully functional SIM Cards and 50GB of free 4G data. The Reliance JIO SIM Cards are also likely to offer up to 5,000 minutes of free bundled talk time on Reliance JIO network and up to 5,000 free SMS messages. According to these sources in retail that the 13 cities include the 5 metros in that the phones will go on sale such as Bengaluru, Baroda, Chandigath, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patana and Pune.

Under the LYF brand Reliance JIO plans to sell 4 different series of smartphones named after the 4 elements - 'Earth', 'Water', 'Wind', 'Fire'. Reliance JIO will be launching the Earth-1, super-premium smartphone, and 3 smartphones under the premium Water series (Water 1, Water 2,Water 3) this month, ET Reports. Smartphones under the Wind and Fire series will be introduced in the second phase as per earlier report that Reliance has built up stocks of it LYF branded phones in order to meet the demand at launch. The company has built up a stock pile  of millions of LYF phones, indicating that it expects the sale to be a big success. It also claims that the Reliance JIO's LYF branded phones said to be called the LYF Earth 1, Earth 2, Earth 3 and Earth 4 may ne priced in the starting range of 9,999 - 22,000.

According to report, Company is also working on cheaper series of smartphones that will be based on Qualcomm's snapdragon 410 chipset and not the snapdragon 615 that will be featured on the other LYF Earth phones. These phones will be priced around the Rs. 5,000. The report adds it is uncertain if all the bundled offer will be applicable to all the models, or the period of validity of these offers. Reliance JIO's 4G launch must be the topic that has been written about the most number of times, including a recent report about how the players was going to launch in 500 cities on Jun 14.
Our own Carriage has been that full commercial service will start some time in late February or more likely, early in march. However, It is also possible of an invite based introduction starting as early as this month and it look like selling LYF branded 4G phones may be the best way of achieving an orderly roll-out and preventing total chaos. Reliance has so far not revealed launch plans for the LYF smartphones, or even exactly when the company's 4G network will be rolled out to the public earlier this month, details of first LYF smartphone dubbed LYF Earth 1 running android 5.1.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box were revealed.

To refresh, The dual SIM(Micro SIM and Nano SIM) LYF Earth 1 sports a 5.5-Inch Amoled display with Full-HD (1080 x 1920 Pixels) resolution translating to a pixel density of 401 PPI, making them very competitive in India's smartphone market. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-core Qualcomm snapdragon 615 soc, coupled with Adreno 405 GPU what is more these phones are likely to carry dual rear cameras with one 13-Megapixel sensor and one 2-MegaPixel sensor; also sports a 5-Meagapixel front-facing camera; 32GB of inbuilt storage; expandable storage support via Micro-SD card(up to 64GB), and 3500Mah battery.

The LYF branded smartphones will be available via multi-brand store as well as reliance retail, which boasts over 1200 distributors and 1.5 lakh retail outlets. Reliance it also said to be in talks with e-commerce site like Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon India to leverage these forthcoming smartphones.
